In case of emergency after hours, call the Animal Emergency Clinic NE at Deerbrook, located at 10205 Birchridge Drive in Humble, Texas. Their phone number is 281-446-4900. Emergency care hours are Monday through Friday, 6PM to 8AM, and they are open 24 hours on weekends and holidays.

Associate VeterinarianDr. Weathersby is a graduate of the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medication where she received her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2012. Since graduation, she has practiced both in Maryland and Pennsylvania, where she worked exclusively with small animals and pocket pets. Her special medical interests are in surgery and animal behavior. At home, she has one domestic cat, “Mali,” whom she adopted from an animal shelter during her third year of vet school. Dr. Weathersby describes Mali as very much like a dog in behavior. Outside of work, Dr. Weathersby enjoys music, travel, and poetry.

Client Service CoordinatorErica has been with Kings Crossing Animal Hospital since October 2014. She enjoys working with animals and helping people when needed. She was in 4H and FFA in her High School Years, were she decided to go in to animal medical care. She has one cat named Pixiee and one dog named Lexi, who ruled her life until her son was born July 2017. She really loves working with other people who are just as passionate as she is about helping animals. She looks forward to many more years with Kings Crossing Animal Hospital.
Associate VeterinarianDr. Jennifer Bumgarner grew up in Angleton, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She then worked two years in Tennessee and another six years in Pearland, Texas, before moving to the Kingwood area in 2010. Dr. Bumgarner’s special interests include soft-tissue surgery and dentistry. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys, and their two labrador retrievers. When there is time, she also enjoys gardening and fishing with her family.

Associate VeterinarianDr. Jessica Centers grew up in Kingwood, Texas. She worked as a kennel technician, then later a technician at Kings Crossing Animal Hospital while in high school and during breaks in college. She attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate studies where she received her BS in Animal Science. Dr. Centers graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in September of 2016 and completed her clinical year of veterinary school at Oklahoma State. She and her husband, Cole, have three dogs and a cat: "Cadence", a Brittany spaniel/labrador mix, "Paisley", a chocolate Labrador, "Irie", an island mix from St. Kitts, and "Matilda". In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going out for mexican food, and watching fighting texas aggie footbal
Karen G Talbott
Practice ManagerKaren Talbott CVT, LVT, RVT studied biomedical science at Texas A&M. She later returned to school at Cedar Valley College to study veterinary technology. She has worked in the veterinary field since 1989 in a variety of venues including private practice, specialty practice, emergency medicine, academia and corporate medicine. Karen has special interests in anesthesiology and practice management. One of her greatest passions is helping others achieve their goals in the field. She has taught at the University of Texas at Arlington and Linn Benton College in Albany, Oregon. At this time, Ms. Talbott is the practice manager for VItal Pet King's Crossing Animal Hospital in Humble, TX. Her desire to see the profession more forward led her to serve on the technician association boards in both Texas and Oregon. She currently serves on the CE and licensure committees for NAVTA. In her spare time, Karen works with her service cat, Raider, to help train other rescue cats to become diabetic alert cats. They also visit diabetic children in the hospital. Also, she enjoys drawing and painting. Currently, Karen and her husband, Eric, reside in the Greater Houston area with their Bernese Mountain Dog, and three very spoiled feline sons. They also have two grown daughters.
Lead TechnicianKat has been a veterinary technician for 14 years. Kat received her Bachelors degree in behavior analysis from the University of North Texas. Kat is a native Texan, who shares her home with her husband, two kids and three dogs.

Kennel TechnicianKaylee is a Kennel Technician at Vitalpet Kings Crossing Animal Hospital. She enjoys working around animals and meeting new people who share a common interest as her. Kaylee is going to Lonestar for her first two years of college and plans to transfer to Sam Houston State to major in Zoology. Kaylee would like to be a Zoologist in her future.

Client Service CoordinatorKelsie Stone is a dedicated receptionist who strives to provide satisfactory and positive customer service to clients and their pets. She has been with VitalPet for a little over a year now and has loved every minute of it. She enjoys working with all of her co workers, seeing and greeting clients. Her main joy here at VitalPet is seeing the wide variety of pets that come in and out everyday and knowing that they love being clients with us!

For Kori, working with animals is her passion and she loves every moment of it.

Lead TechnicianLauren is an LVT (licensed veterinary technician) at Vital Pet Kings Crossing Animal Hospital. Lauren graduated LoneStar College-Tomball in 2013, with a degree in veterinary technology. She has been with Vital Pet since January 2015. Lauren enjoys running and spoiling her dog, Duke.
Lead Client Service CoordinatorMabel started working for Eastex Veterinary Clinic in December of 1984. Working with cats and dogs has been a joy for Mabel. She has had several pets over the years and she currently has two cats, Gabriel and Abraham, and her wonder dog Trevor (an Australian Shepherd), who makes her smile every day. When Eastex Veterinary Clinic became Vital Pet, she continued to work at Kings Crossing. Over the years, she has made many dog and cat friends, as well as life long "owner" friends. Mabel considers it a pleasure to have worked with so many wonderful doctors over the years, and a joy to see young junior technicians and kennel staff advance to becoming veterinarians and other professionals. After work, Mabel keeps up with her three grown children and seven grandchildren.

TechnicianMeghan is currently enrolled in LoneStar College, in the Veterinary Technician program, with hopes of becoming an LVT (licensed veterinary technician). Meghan has one dog, a boxer named Senor Aggelsworth, two cats, Ms. Frazzels and Mr. Leuk. Meghan enjoys baking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Associate VeterinarianDr. Oberbroeckling grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. She received her bachelor of science in Distributed Studies (Business, Psychology, and Zoology) from Iowa State University in 1990. She graduated from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. In 1995, she and her husband moved to Kingwood, and she has been an associate with us since that time. Dr. Oberbroeckling has a special interest in oncology. She has two daughters whom she loves with all of her heart. Additionally, she has two cats and a pug.
Lead Client Service CoordinatorPeggy began her career in the veterinary field in sunny Southern California in 2002. The opportunity to pursue her life long dream came about as she was attending The Brooks Institute of Photography where she was studying Film and Television Production. When she was not producing independent films in remote locations she was a vital part of a dedicated team caring for beloved pets of all sizes. She knows she is truly fortunate to have been able to pursue both her life’s passions at once. With her return to her hometown of Houston, TX in 2010, she can boastfully say that with her rewarding career now with the VitalPet Family, two children (Dylan, Sophia), husband Zoap, two tuxedos cats and an aussie mix she has it all!

Clinic AdministratorBeci lives in East Houston with her husband, three rescue cats and one dog. Callie and Tigger are litter mates and were rescued when they were just a week old. Junior "JR" joined the family in the summer of 2014. "Buddy Boy" was rescued from the streets in January of 2012. They are all one big happy family. Beci has been in the veterinary industry for over six years, and says that every day is an amazing learning experience. In her spare time, she enjoys DIY projects, flower gardening and sewing. She and her hubby have two beautiful granddaughters and one great grandson.

Kennel TechnicianRebecca (Becca to those that know her) has been a Kennel Technician at Vital Pet Kings Crossing Animal Hospital since July 2016. Becca loves working here because she loves animals of all kinds. Becca has two dogs of her own.
Lead GroomerRobin has been happily grooming dogs for 22 years. In her spare time, she raises and shows Australian Shepherds and participates in performance sports, such as agility and flyball.
